Large format black and white photography.

An article I just read about a Chinese "artist" who receives up to $100,000  for "paintings "that he designs but has others execute promted me to finally write this artist statement.

I do color photography , I have more than 30,000 color transparencies on file as a legacy of years in stock photography. My enlarger head is designed specifically for black and white, I cannot make color prints with my existing equipment unless I scan, photoshop and make digital prints. I do that for notecards but that is not art. So, my philosophy is this.

I will only  offer  prints for sale  where I have personally identified the image, made the exposure, developed the negatives and made the prints.

And I will probably never ask $100,000 for a print.
